This is a bold statement for anyone to make, but you will see why it is true. It has to do with probabilities; knowing your probability of success before you place a trade is one of the aspects that most traders overlook, probably because it is not widely discussed or taught.

We all know about probabilities because we have bought a Lotto ticket or bet on a horse, or have played Poker. Most of the time the odds of winning big are so stacked against you that it is virtually a miracle if you win. Now if you talk to your broker or investment adviser, he would likely try to scare you off by telling you that this is the most dangerous form of trading you can do, and that you will probably lose your shirt. But most of the big trading houses and banks are making tons of money by doing it, so why shouldn’t you be able to do likewise?

You see, what they don’t tell you is that there is a way of selling options in which you can protect yourself, thus taking most of the risk out of the trade.

Wouldn’t you like a trading method in which you don’t have to be correct is predicting market direction, and in which most of the time you can find trades with a 70% to 90% probability of being successful? Yes, you can win consistently – by trading options. The markets can move up or down, but if you have constructed your trade correctly you can still make money.
