1. Assess dysfunctional conflict patterns in couples.
2. Identify the “Four Horseman†and their destructive effect on couples.
3. Identify “Diffuse Physiological Arousal (DPA)†and its negative effect on relationships.
4. Describe how to use effective interventions with escalating couples to interrupt the “Four Horsemen†and DPA.
5. Describe how to identify conflict avoidant couples.
6. Describe how to increase positive conflict conversations with avoidant couples.
