CLASS DESCRIPTION
Turn Social Media Activity Into Something You Can Hold On To.
We share major life events, celebratory moments, and milestones on social media every day. Memories are captured with the closest camera at hand — and photographs are now uploaded more often than they are printed and framed. Our Facebook®, Twitter®, and Instagram® feeds document our days — but who preserves these digital memories?
Learn how to turn these online photo albums, conversations, and status updates into beautiful physical scrapbooks and videos. You’ll learn the basics of scrapbook storytelling and how to integrate your social media activity into family albums and even professional portfolios. Through hands-on instruction, Megan Hoeppner will show you how to create attractive layouts and designs that reflect the important memory, relationship, or major life event you want to commemorate.
This course is for anyone who wants to turn their rich online lives into real-life works of art for future generations to enjoy.
MEGAN HOEPPNER
Megan Hoeppner has enjoyed an amazing career in the crafting world. Her adventure began the day Stampin’ Up! hired her to work in their public relations department more than a decade ago. This is where she quickly fell in love with stamps and paper arts. From there, her career progressed to include publishing as an associate editor for Paper Crafts magazine, a senior editor for Simple Scrapbooks magazine, and a Creative Editor for Creating Keepsakes magazine. From writing and editing to creating projects and teaching classes, While Megan enjoyed all aspects of the magazine life until her career came to a halt with the discontinuation of Creating Keepsakes in the fall of 2013, it’s the opportunity she had to author two best-selling special issues, Creative Spaces with Megan Hoeppner and Creative Spaces with Megan Hoeppner Vol. 2 that stand out as editorial highlights. Currently, Megan keeps herself busy with freelance work for various crafting companies, regular television appearances on Studio 5, the leading lifestyle program in Utah, regular contributions to Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine, and the running of her own business selling handmade goods. As much as Megan enjoys each opportunity that comes her way, it’s teaching that truly holds her professional heart. Few things bring her more joy than connecting with others who share an interest in crafting. In the 2014 year, Megan is delighted to be teaching classes with CreativeLIVE, Creating Keepsakes Events, and Annie’s Publishing.
